| Subject: PowerScout Date: Tue, 15 May 2001 13:21:06 -0400 From: "Norm Lewis" <nlewis@northmont.k12.oh.us> To: sports@hollysoftware.com I would like to highly recommend the PowerScout software for any coaching staff that is looking to create accurate, detailed reports on their opponents. In my first year as defensive coordinator, PowerScout became an integral part of my weekend preparation of tendencies, scouting reports, and keys for our defense. As a result, our players entered each game prepared for their opponents by being able to recognize formations, the plays that accompany them, tendencies from hash marks and strength, and field position tendencies. Immediately, our defense began to improve statistically, especially in the most important statistic-- keeping our opponents out of the end zone. In the third game of the season, we upset a team that had beaten us 60-6 the previous season. Our defense held them to one touchdown and I would give much of the credit to PowerScout for giving us such overwhelming tendencies that our players knew exactly where they needed to be while I was able to make calls to put them in that position. Confidence grew from that point on in the season and we have come to rely on Power Scout to supply us with the information we will need to be fully prepared each week. Lastly, I find PowerScout easy to use. Once you have mastered how to enter the plays into the data base, overall prep time is greatly cut down because reports are compiled and generated at the click of a mouse. In conclusion, PowerScout will remain an important facet of our coaching staff and game preparation. I would highly recommend it to all football coaches.
